Lunch Together Project: On-campus safetynet for preventing hunger

supervision of the Office of Chaplain, has been managing a program, which primarily concentrates on offering free meal coupons for the underprivileged students (SDG 2.1). Different members of the university community—including faculty, staff, and alumni—have pulled together to operate. Thanks to the program, the students are able to set stable living conditions, which allow them to focus on their academics.

Yonsei University Made Partial Return of Tuition Fees for Students who are in Economic Difficulties.
Yonsei University has confirmed returning a portion of tuition fees for the first semester to cope with the pandemic situation (COVID-19). Also, one million KRW will be paid as a special scholarship to students in financial difficulties.The special subsidy will include a refund of 100,000 KRW for unused laboratory training expenses. Yonsei University will give the living contribution to all registered students for the first semester regardless of whether they receive scholarships or not.In addition, 500 students who are financially struggling due to COVID-19 will be selected, and students will provide special scholarships separately. Also, they will provide additional funds of about 500 million KRW to pay special scholarships, and 1 million KRW will be paid per person.In order to end hunger and help students, particularly the poor and people in vulnerable situations (SDG 2.1), Yonsei University contributed to efforts to eradicate poverty through the partial return of tuition fees.
Yonsei Medical Center connected Seodaemun "100-Family Care" #600.
Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, announced that it had achieved its 600th relationship in the 100-family care project with Yonsei Medical Center, which will sponsor 200,000 KRW per month to low-income families for two years.The 100-Family Care Project links families in the dead zone of welfare who desperately need help but are not subject to public support due to a lack of legal requirements with individual sponsors, businesses, and religious organizations.This activity is close to SDG 2.1 target By 2030, end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food all year round. Small sharing contributes to the spread of donations in the community and the development of a unique sharing culture in Seodaemun-gu.
