Yonsei University Campus Town Project Group held the "2020 Campus Town Business Startup Competition" as part of the campus town project in Seoul. A total of 207 start-up teams applied for the competition and 60 teams were finally selected.The "Campestown Project" is a project that combines human, material, intellectual, and public resources of universities to solve youth problems such as jobs and housing and promote the local economy.Under the slogan "Sinchon where Start-up Starts," Yonsei University's campus town project team plans to support project costs to provide start-up spaces, commercialize excellent start-ups, and upgrade ideas from excellent teams through start-up support programs.The finally selected 60 teams will participate in start-up support programs such as start-up education, start-up team networking, and commercialization support from May. In the future, the finals with total prize money of 11 million KRW will be held through performance evaluation, and in the second half of the year, they will receive additional benefits from moving into the start-up base space S3 (S Cube). Through this, it contributes to the achievement of SDG 8.2 Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sectors and is actively making efforts to induce win-win development between universities and regions, and to create jobs and revitalize the local economy by laying a successful foundation for Yonsei University to become a forward base for startups.
