Yonsei University Campus Town Business Group's start-up competition will be held, and 60 start-up teams will be selected.

Yonsei University Campus Town Project Group held the "2020 Campus Town Business Startup Competition" as part of the campus town project in Seoul. A total of 207 start-up teams applied for the competition and 60 teams were finally selected.The "Campestown Project" is a project that combines human, material, intellectual, and public resources of universities to solve youth problems such as jobs and housing and promote the local economy.Under the slogan "Sinchon where Start-up Starts," Yonsei University's campus town project team plans to support project costs to provide start-up spaces, commercialize excellent start-ups, and upgrade ideas from excellent teams through start-up support programs.The finally selected 60 teams will participate in start-up support programs such as start-up education, start-up team networking, and commercialization support from May. In the future, the finals with total prize money of 11 million KRW will be held through performance evaluation, and in the second half of the year, they will receive additional benefits from moving into the start-up base space S3 (S Cube). Through this, it contributes to the achievement of SDG 8.2 Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sectors and is actively making efforts to induce win-win development between universities and regions, and to create jobs and revitalize the local economy by laying a successful foundation for Yonsei University to become a forward base for startups.

Employment Practice Living Wage
The Minimum Wage Act complies with the minimum wage enacted through the National Minimum Wage Committee. Yonsei University has improved the salaries of contract employees and part-time workers currently working under the minimum wage in 2020. As shown in the table below, the minimum wage increase of 2.8% compared to 2019 increased by 50,160 KRW, 54,240 KRW, and 40,800 KRW, respectively. This is related to SDG 8.2.1 paying all staff and faculty at least the living wage, defined as the local living wage (if the government defines this) or the local poverty indicator for a family of four (expressed as an hourly wage).
Three districts in Incheon and Yonsei University have joined hands to revitalize the social economy.
Dong-gu, Incheon signed an agreement with Jung-gu, Namdong-gu, and Yonsei University to promote community development and social economy.The business agreement aims to establish an organic cooperative system to solve regional problems, discover and foster future-oriented talented people, and jointly promote social economy education projects, and ultimately revitalize the social economy.As a specific action plan, Incheon Metropolitan City's three districts and Yonsei University will cooperate to solve regional problems, develop social economy education contents (textbooks, etc.) and operate social economy curriculum, discover and support excellent social economy talents in adolescent and global cooperation projects.This is the first step in creating a society where we grow together through the achievement of SDG 8.3 Promote development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalization and growth of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises, including through access to financial services and meets the demands of the times that create new positive changes in the region. This agreement is an agreement that helps future resources to think together to solve community problems and lead the change to dream of hope through the social economy.
Tracking Pay Scale for Gender Equity
Yonsei University demonstrates a commitment to good employment practices by tracking the pay scale for gender equity. As shown in the table below, it is possible to track whether gender equality is being achieved in salary payment through the confirmation of the professor's salary payment statement in December 2020, and Yonsei University paid 3,410 people; this is related to SDG 8.2.7. In the case of the relevant detailed data, the Human Resources Team separately managed it as it contains personal information.
