IHEI Yonsei University held a Herementee program for marginalized teenagers
Herementee, a compound word of Hermes and Menti, is an online platform of Menbongdan that enables 24-hour career exploration mentoring with college student mentors. Herementee program was organized to provide career exploration opportunities for teenagers in information marginalized areas in response to the covid pandemic (SDG 10.2 By 2030, empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status) by Institute for Higher Education Innovation (IHEI) at Yonsei University. As most career events in the first half of the year were canceled or postponed in the aftermath of COVID-19, it was college students who began to solve the stagnation of career education at the school site. They assisted Herementees to do major exploration, develop a book report, exchange letters with young professionals, and practice writing resumes and preparing interviews. The entire process was free of charge, and the participants said it was really helpful to alleviate their career anxiety.
