Yonsei University Graduate School of Information signed an MOU to foster AI & Fintech human resources with the Korea Financial Investment Association Financial Investment Education Institute.
Yonsei University's Graduate School of Information signed an MOU with the Financial Investment Education Institute to promote various activities such as AI&Fintech joint research and curriculum operation.Currently, the need for AI & Fintech professionals is increasing as the development and distribution of AI-based specialized services and products are emerging as a key competitiveness leading the future financial industry in the global financial market. Yonsei University's Graduate School of Information AI&Fintech course will operate a practical industry-academic-linked curriculum to foster practical talents leading future financial businesses by preemptively identifying and actively reflecting the core competencies required by domestic and foreign financial institutions and companies.Through the achievement of SDG 8.2 Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sector, it is the nation's leading educational institution in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and operates AI & Fintech master's and doctorate programs based on its rich experience in data analysis academy, information media strategy, and master's courses in big data.
LearnUs: All New Youth Employment Policy Guide
Yonsei University Job Center has opened an "All New Youth Policy Guide" to provide customized youth employment policy information for local youth through professional consultants. It contributed to the achievement of SDG 8.5 By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value by providing information on various youth-related employment policies, including online youth centers and national employment support systems.
LearnUs: Contemporary Issues in the Korean Economy and Business 10. Understanding ESG
The course is taught by Professor Doocheol Moon of Yonsei University's College of Business and explains the concept of ESG (Environmental·Social·Governance) to enhance company’s sustainability and talks about why ESG scores are different for each evaluation agency. This is linked to SDG 8.2 Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sectors so that students can build knowledge of management and economy about corporate sustainability.
Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Techno Park, and Yonsei University Federation will operate the "Bio Process Human Resources Training Center" project
Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Techno Park, and Yonsei University Federation will operate the "Bio Process Human Resources Training Center" project to be built in Songdo International City, Incheon, the largest in the Asia-Pacific region. The curriculum will be piloted by 2023, before the completion of the center, and the training will be conducted at Y-PLAZA in Yonsei University International Campus. The curriculum run by Yonsei University is divided into a degree course (Master's level) and a non-degree course. The non-degree course will be subdivided into courses for incumbent and job seekers.The Bio Process Human Resources Development Center is expected to contribute to job creation while resolving manpower shortages in the bio sector. Domestic and foreign companies in related fields located in Songdo, Incheon, are expected to be able to receive excellent talent. In particular, it is expected to play a pivotal role in the development of the Incheon bio-industry as well as responding to the demand for professional manpower in East Asia. This corresponds to SDG 8.4 Improve progressively, through 2030, global resource efficiency in consumption and production and endeavour to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation, in accordance with the 10‑Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production, with developed countries taking the lead, and it contributes to creating sustainable jobs by combining education with bio, an emerging field, which has frozen job employment due to COVID-19.
