IGEE Center for 

Global Sustainability Research

The IGEE Center for Global Sustainability Research conducts a variety of research and projects related to sustainable development issues such as climate change.

The center also works closely with various international organizations in addition to Korean domestic organizations and NGOs.

• · National Research Projects

  • The IGEE Center for Global Sustainability Research carries out SDG-related research services ordered by the Korean government and public sector alongside collaborating researchers.
  • Research on establishing strategy to support the overseas expansion of climate and environment industry (Ministry of Environment)
  • Research on ways to revitalize the energy and environment technology industries in response to climate change (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy)

• · Networking

  The IGEE Center for Global Sustainability Research facilitates knowledge exchange and dialogue on progress towards the SDGs, with a focus on efforts to build more resilient infrastructure, promote good governance, and operationalize partnerships that will accelerate attainment of the SDGs by 2030.

  • Export of medical education and health insurance systems to developing countries (Asian Development Bank)
  • Research on low carbon development paths as well as work to support the integration of climate resilience (UNEP DTU Partnership)

  • To strengthen partnerships with developing countries and support their attainment of the SDGs, the Center shares its experience and innovative approaches using new analytical and scientific methods.
